Role Overview: Join a cutting-edge AI research team to develop and refine large language models for real-world clinical applications. This internship offers hands-on experience in NLP, model evaluation, and ethical AI development, with a strong focus on wellness and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior researchers to fine-tune and validate LLMs for clinical documentation, triage, and patient interaction.
  • Participate in multi-modal data integration and NLP pipeline development.
  • Conduct error analysis, explainability assessments, and fairness testing.
  • Support internal and external documentation of AI research.
  • Stay updated on academic and industry advancements to inform model improvements.

First 90 Days:

  • Onboard into LLM architecture, clinical datasets, and development workflows.
  • Engage in collaborative data annotation and supervised model training.
  • Contribute to model evaluation, debugging, and error analysis.
  • Independently develop and test experimental model enhancements.
  • Begin mentoring newer interns and sharing insights.
  • Take ownership of key model components or research projects.
  • Co-author whitepapers and contribute to patents and open science initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Strong foundation in machine learning, NLP, or AI research (academic or project-based).
  • Familiarity with GPT models, transformer architectures, and Python-based ML frameworks.
  • Experience with data annotation, model training, or evaluation preferred.
  • Passion for ethical AI development and healthcare innovation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, flexible environment.
