Job Description: Sales Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. This involves identifying potential clients, cold-calling, and networking to generate new leads.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Use this information to tailor sales pitches and product offerings.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing the deal. This includes preparing and delivering compelling presentations, negotiating contracts, and ensuring a smooth transition to the client success or account management team.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts and provide excellent post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Utilize CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track sales activities, manage pipelines, and generate accurate sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and customer support to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and provide feedback on market demand.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas. Experience in a specific industry (e.g., SaaS, B2B, real estate) is a plus.

  • Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport and trust with clients.

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills to effectively manage sales deals and secure contracts.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple clients and priorities simultaneously.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a high degree of resilience and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
