We are currently seeking a Software Development Specialist to join our team in NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Technical Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission-critical applications on IBM mainframe platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, IMS, DB2, and VSAM, and will be responsible for both batch and online program development. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a global team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Optimize and enhance existing applications for performance and maintainability.
• Perform system analysis and provide solutions for production issues.
• Track project deliverables and ensure quality standards are met.
• Document system changes and maintain technical specifications.
• Support BAU (Business As Usual) production batch issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Mandatory Skills: COBOL, JCL, IMS, DB2, VSAM.
• Secondary Skills: EZYTRIEVE, IBM utilities (e.g., File-Aid, Abend-Aid).
• Strong understanding of both online and batch processing.
• Experience with mainframe debugging and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the banking or financial domain.
• Knowledge of tools like Endevor, Xpeditor.
• Certifications in IBM mainframe technologies are a plus.
