About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Scrum Master (Independent Contractor) to facilitate Agile ceremonies, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure smooth delivery of projects in alignment with Agile principles. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to enable teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure the team follows Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products.
  • Remove impediments and guide the team to find the right solutions.
  • Track sprint progress using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile management tools.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to maintain a healthy product backlog and prioritize sprint goals.
  • Support the team in achieving continuous improvement and identifying process enhancements.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, development, and QA teams to ensure alignment on deliverables.
  • Prepare and present Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, sprint health reports, etc.).
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration across the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
  • Proven experience with Scrum or Kanban frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and SDLC.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile reporting.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to handle distributed and remote teams effectively.
  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Technical background or experience in software development environments is an added advantage.

Engagement Details:

  • Hours: 8 hours per day (as per project/client time zone)
  • Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (not an employee role)
  • Work Model: Remote for 3 months
  • Payment Terms: Based on approved timesheets and invoices, submitted monthly
