Summary of the Role

We are looking for a
Student Admissions Counsellor (PG Programs)
to support student recruitment and admissions for an Indian campus of UK based university. This is a
frontline, conversion-focused role
involving counselling students and parents, managing leads, participating in education fairs, and driving enrolments through structured follow-ups and relationship building.

The role requires someone who is
empathetic yet target oriented
, confident in student counselling,

and comfortable working with CRM systems and outreach initiatives.

This position is ideal for candidates who have worked with
reputed Indian universities
and understand the nuances of PG admissions, including eligibility criteria, entrance exams, application timelines, and career

outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counsel prospective students and parents on academic programs, eligibility, admissions processes, and career pathways
  • Drive
    student conversions
    from enquiry to enrolment through effective follow-ups and structured counselling
  • Handle inbound and outbound leads generated via digital campaigns, walk-ins, referrals, and education fairs
  • Participate in
    education fairs, school visits, open houses, and outreach events
    to generate and nurture leads
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the
    CRM system
    , including lead status, follow-ups, and conversion reports
  • Coordinate with internal admissions, marketing, and academic teams to ensure a smooth applicant experience
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly counselling performance and conversion metrics
  • Build trust-based relationships with students and parents through transparent, ethical counselling
  • Stay informed about program offerings, admission cycles, scholarships, and regulatory requirements

Candidate Profile

  • 2-3 yrs of student admissions, education counselling for PG courses with an Indian university is a must.
  • Proven ability to
    convert leads into confirmed admissions
  • Strong counselling and interpersonal skills, with confidence in engaging students and parents
  • Experience handling education fairs, school outreach, or student events is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with
    CRM tools
    (LeadSquared, Zoho, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Target-driven mindset with strong follow-up discipline
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Hindi (regional languages are a plus)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced admissions cycle environment
