Job Title: Software Engineer - Full Stack Web Development (PHP and MySQL)

Job Type: Full Time. Minimum 3 years of experience as a software engineer.

Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Location: Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh; Hyderabad, Telangana, India only.

Desired Candidate Profile

As a Software Development Engineer at Geckos Business Solutions Pvt Ltd, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with an experienced team developing e-commerce and other web-based technology solutions. You will be responsible for defining, designing, and developing frontend, and backend data flows, and interactions across various components of technology solutions. In addition, you will participate in code reviews, and documentation, and be responsible for working closely with your team to deliver technology solutions at the highest quality and within committed timelines.

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) / Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree with a good academic record.

  2. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a software engineer:

  3. working with both frontend and backend web development;

  4. developing responsive frontend UI using HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, Ajax, Javascript, jQuery, JSON; and,

  5. designing, planning, and delivering software platforms on a schedule.

  6. Hands-on experience with backend development, scripting, web server management, MySQL, SQL, RDBMS, and data modeling.

  7. Must possess an understanding of security principles and how they apply to web-based technology solutions.

  8. Must be knowledgeable of source code control Git/SVN, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with PHP frameworks like Codeigniter, CakePHP, etc.

  2. Hands-on experience with frameworks like wooCommerce, Magento, Drupal, Joomla.

  3. Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and mobile application development (iOS/Android) is a definite plus.

  4. Experience with AI and ML.

  5. Experience with payment integration and APIs.
