Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Governance Platform (DGP) Engineer to join our team. Data is the new oil of our company, and we are part of main programs focusing on Enablement of Data and Data Governance. As an Engineer, you will be working in the team of top engineers responsible for maintaining, enhancing technologies related to Data Analytics Catalog as well Data Management area (Master Data Management or Reference Data Management). It covers Collibra, Schedulix, Trillium, Tibco CIM, Tibco EBX, Informatica MDM and Informatica SaaS MDM. Scope covers software development, maintenance and configuration of Collibra and MDM/RDM tools, AWS configuration, testing and quality assurance. You will be working in a top-tier environment with the newest technologies on the market.

Requirements

Technical Skills and Expertise

• Programming Languages:
  • Strong focus on Python (7+ years of experience).
  • Proficient in Groovy and Java (for Collibra-related tasks).
  • Basic knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Cloud and Infrastructure:
  • Experience with AWS cloud platform, focusing on serverless solutions and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (Terraform preferred)
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Data Governance:
  • Deep expertise in Collibra Data Governance, including configuration, metadata ingestion, metamodels and APIs.
  • Experienced in Collibra workflow design, development, and maintenance using Collibra Workflow Designer. Be a subject matter expert in the area of Collibra workflows. Building automated processes based on Collibra workflows
  • Strong experience in configuring and connecting to various data sources for metadata, data lineage, data profiling, and data quality.

2. Development Practices

• Application Development:
  • Ability to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable applications.
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs and Graph APIs usage patterns.
• Version Control and Collaboration:
  • Proficient in version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

3. DevOps and CI/CD

• DevOps Practices:
  • Highly knowledgeable in DevOps methodologies and CI/CD practices, preferably with GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Testing and Quality Assurance:
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest) and best practices.
  • Ability to conduct code reviews for Collibra Workflows to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.

4. Data Management and Documentation

• Data Transformation:
  • Knowledge of data transformation (ETL/ELT) routines.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redshift).
• Documentation and Attention to Detail:
  • Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail in all aspects of work.

5. Others

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience in the industry.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Customer oriented mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
