Position: Senior Manager Data Engineering (Google Cloud Platform)

Location: Hyderabad

  • Experience:

  • 13-18 years in data engineering, cloud data solutions, or enterprise data management.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience delivering large-scale data integration or analytics projects in GCP.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise with GCP services – BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Composer.

  • Solid background in data modeling (dimensional, normalized, canonical).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern ETL/ELT frameworks (batch & streaming).
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow/Cloud Composer.

  • Understanding of data governance, security, quality, and metadata management.

  • Leadership & Delivery:

  • Experience leading data engineering teams in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and ensure timely delivery.

  • Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to Retail, Media, or Consumer Products industry data environments.

  • Knowledge of MDM solutions, data stewardship principles, and basic ML/AI concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of GCP-based data pipelines and analytics platforms.
  • Manage a team of data engineers and collaborate with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders.
  • Oversee data modeling, ETL/ELT process optimization, and implementation of data governance practices.
  • Ensure high standards of data security, compliance, and performance.
  • Stay updated on emerging GCP features, tools, and best practices.
