Boeing IT&DA has an immediate opening for Lead DevSecOPs  Engineer to join the Software Chapter team, where our mission is to transform our IT&DA Software Development into the best in the aerospace and defense industry. We're focused on enhancing the digital experience, fostering a product-centric culture, and implementing top-tier tools and processes. By optimizing automation and supporting our developers' growth, we aim to deliver value faster to Boeing, our customers, and partners.

This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.

 Position Responsibilities:

• Design and implement IaC Solutions; Develop and maintain terraform scripts for automating AWS infrastructure provisioning and management
• Designing and implementing comprehensive automation strategies to ensure compliance across the software development lifecycle. 
• Design and engineer SDLC services, including technology selection, implementation and operationalizing 
• Engage with application development teams to drive SDLC best practices 
• Develop software solutions using scripting and back-end technologies
• Integrate automation tools into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless integration of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Policy as Code (PaC) practices. 
• Use policy as code implementation for automated compliance checks by integrating policy enforcement into the CI/CD pipelines of development life cycle
• Staying updated with the latest trends and tools in software automation engineering.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify workflow pain points and implement solutions that enhance productivity
• Build and manage developer platforms that facilitate efficient workflows and enhance productivity
• Analyze software development metrics to identify improvement areas and implement performance enhancements
• Provide hands-on mentorship and training to developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning
• Advocate for and implement best practices in software development and architecture
• Organize knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops to promote collaboration and innovation among developers
• Participate in the agile software development lifecycle including planning, reviews, and supporting customer meetings.
• Develop, establish, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align with organization goals and industry benchmarks.
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux, Containers
• Basic understanding of Networking concepts, firewalls, proxy
• Good trouble shooting skills

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• A Bachelor's degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
• 5+ years of experience with hands on secure software development methodologies and security-first mindset
• 5+ years of experience as an AWS developer or technologies
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform
• Experience in minimizing developer toil within cloud environments through the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and platform engineering practice
• 5+ years of experience with developing CI/CD pipelines within GitLab/ADO/Github/BitBucket
• 5+ years of experience with DevSecOps concepts and best practices
• Experience with zero trust technologies in the realm of application security, including but not limited to JSON Web Tokens, OAuth/OAuth2/SAML, X.509 certificates/mTLS, application reverse proxies, API security, cloud-native security solutions, and similar technologies
• Experience with System & Infrastructure Design, architecting and developing scalable, efficient, and reliable systems including scaling, load balancing, caching, CDN, API design and communication, logging and monitoring
• Proven experience automating common operational tasks, web service/API integration, and deployment activities in scripting/programming languages e.g., Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell etc.) 
• Working knowledge of version control, artifact management, and deployment automation 

Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/ Experience)

• Experience with one or more cloud providers (e.g. Azure, GCP) 
• Experience with Regulated Cloud Environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure for US Government)

Typical Education & Experience:

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 11 Plus years' related work experience or Master's Degree with 12+ years of experience with an equivalent combination of education and experience
