Job Description – Food Color Chemist (Ankleshwar Location)

Position: Food Color Chemist

Location: Ankleshwar, Gujarat

Industry: Food Colors Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct analysis, testing, and quality evaluation of food colors (Synthetic/Natural).
• Perform color matching, shade development, and formulation of food-grade colorants.
• Ensure all products comply with FSSAI, FDA, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain QC/QA documentation, COA, batch records, and test reports.
• Monitor raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Handle instruments such as UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, HPLC, GC, pH meter, Moisture analyzer, etc.
• Support R&D team in new product development and process improvement.
• Identify non-conformities and assist in troubleshooting production issues.
• Maintain laboratory safety, hygiene, and calibration standards.

Required Qualifications:

• B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or related field.
• 2–7 years of experience in food color, dyes, pigments, or food additive industry.
• Strong understanding of food color chemistry and analytical methods.

Skills Required:

• Expertise in wet chemistry & analytical testing.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance (FSSAI / FDA).
• Good documentation & reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in coordination with production/QC teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10, ₹30,000.00 per month
