Job Title: Manager – Business Development (Ash Handling, Disposal and Logistics)

Location: Tamil Nadu

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proac ve, dynamic, and results-oriented professional to lead and execute the procurement of ash handling, transporta on, and disposal contracts from thermal power plants. The ideal candidate will possess strong domain exper se in ash handling technologies, a well-established network within both government and private sector power u li es, and a proven track record in industrial project bidding and client acquisi on. Experience in selling services or products—such as electrical/mechanical equipment, O&M solu ons, consumables, or logis cs—to thermal power plants is essen al.

Key Responsibili es:

Business Development:

  • Iden fy and pursue new business opportuni es in ash transporta on, handling, and disposal services within the thermal power sector.

  • Build and nurture strong rela onships with procurement and opera onal stakeholders in both government and private thermal power u li es.

  • Leverage exis ng industry connec ons to iden fy and create ac onable opportuni es for ash handling and logis cs services.

  • Collaborate with opera ons and technical teams to organize site visits and develop accurate cost esmates with detailed cost breakdowns for proposals and tender submissions.

  • Regularly monitor tender portals and industry updates for relevant opportuni es in ash logis cs and related services.

  • Prepare pre-qualifica on documents, technical proposals, and commercial bids in coordina on with internal engineering and finance teams.

  • Ensure mely and compliant submission of all tender documents and proposals.

Client Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients during pre-bid, bidding, and post-bid discussions.

  • A end technical mee ngs and conduct site visits to thoroughly understand client requirements and align solu ons accordingly.

Contract Finaliza on:

  • Lead nego a ons on commercial terms, project melines, and scope of services.

  • Work with internal legal and commercial teams to finalize agreements and contracts.

Cross-func onal Coordina on:

  • Coordinate closely with project execu on, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure service offerings align with client expecta ons and organiza onal capabili es.

Qualifica ons:

  • Any degree or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering; MBA in Marke ng/sales/Business Development/Opera ons is an added advantage.

  • 2–15 years of experience in business development, with a focus on selling to or working with thermal power plants.

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or procurement within the Thermal power or steel sector.

  • Should have good database of Thermal Power plants / Cement / RMC / Mines

  • Candidate who has sold any material, machinery to Thermal Power plant.

  • Excellent communicaon, nego a on, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to analyze tender documents and prepare compelling bids.

  • Proacve approach with a strong network of industry contacts.

  • Result-oriented with a focus on achieving targets.

  • Familiarity with industry regula ons and compliance standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50, ₹66,202.66 per month
