Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time role for a Device Test Engineer located in Mumbai.We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Telecom Test Engineer
with proven experience in testing telecom networks, protocols, and systems (2G/3G/4G/5G, VoLTE, IMS, etc.). The candidate will be responsible for designing test strategies, executing test cases, and ensuring compliance with telecom standards and customer requirements.Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute
  manual and automated test cases
  for telecom products and network elements.
• Perform
  functional, regression, interoperability, integration, and performance testing
  of telecom systems.
• Validate
  protocol stacks
  (SIP, Diameter, SS7, MAP, GTP, HTTP/2, etc.) using tools like
  Wireshark, QXDM, TEMS, Keysight, Spirent, Anritsu
  .
• Work on
  call flows, mobility scenarios, and end-to-end network testing
  for LTE/5G, IMS, VoLTE, VoNR.
• Conduct
  interoperability and roaming tests
  across different vendors/operators.
• Debug and analyze issues at the
  interface and protocol level
  .
• Collaborate with developers, operators, and vendors for issue resolution.
• Create
  test reports, defect logs, and test documentation
  for internal and customer use.
• Ensure compliance with
  3GPP, ETSI, GSMA, and operator standards
  .
• Support lab setup, testbed maintenance, and execution of automated test suites.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree
  in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience
  in telecom domain testing (LTE/5G/IMS/VoLTE).
• Strong knowledge of
  mobile communication technologies
  (2G/3G/4G/5G, IMS, VoIP).
• Experience with
  protocol analyzers and test tools
  (Wireshark, QXDM, TEMS, Keysight, Spirent, Anritsu).
• Hands-on experience in
  network simulators/emulators
  (e.g., Amarisoft, Open5GS, Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei testbeds).
• Good understanding of
  call flows, mobility management, bearer setup, QoS, and network KPIs
  .
• Familiarity with
  automation frameworks
  (Python, Robot Framework, or similar) for telecom testing.
• Excellent
  debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  .
• Ability to work in
  Agile/Scrum
  environments with cross-functional teams.

Good to Have

• Experience in
  5G Core (AMF, SMF, UPF), RAN testing, and slicing
  .
• Knowledge of
  VoLTE, VoNR, IMS emergency call flows, and interworking with legacy networks
  .
• Exposure to
  OSS/BSS systems, MVNO setups, and network virtualization (NFV, SDN)
  .
• Experience with
  cloud-native telecom environments
  (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack).
