Senior Test Automation Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced SENIOR SDET to spearhead our test automation initiatives and lead a team of quality assurance engineers. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to drive testing excellence across our organization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency in Java programming with extensive experience in test automation frameworks
• Deep hands-on experience with software quality assurance in web-based technologies
• Expert-level experience with cloud testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs) for executing automated Selenium tests across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems
• Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver, including advanced Page Object Model design patterns, dynamic element handling, and sophisticated wait strategies
• Mastery of Java testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG) for complex test execution and validation scenarios
• Advanced knowledge of automated testing tools including Selenium Grid, LoadRunner, Postman, and JMeter
• Proven experience architecting and maintaining enterprise-level test automation frameworks
• Advanced experience creating comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and testing documentation from complex requirements/specifications
• Proven ability to gather and define testing requirements for projects with minimal development documentation
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration experience (Jenkins, Gitlab)
• Advanced version control proficiency using Git, including branching strategies and code review processes
• Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle, including dependency management
• Advanced familiarity with test reporting tools (Allure, Extent Reports) and test metrics analytics
• 2+ years of experience leading QA/SDET teams
• Proven track record of mentoring and developing junior and mid-level engineers
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience in establishing testing standards, best practices, and coding guidelines
• Ability to drive technical decisions and influence engineering practices across teams
• ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Establish and enforce coding standards, testing best practices, and quality gates
• Architect and design enterprise-level test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium WebDriver
• Lead the development of reusable, scalable, and maintainable automated test suites following advanced design patterns
• Drive technical decisions regarding testing tools, frameworks, and infrastructure
• Establish automation strategies and coverage goals across multiple product lines
• Coordinate testing activities with Project Managers, Product Owners, and engineering stakeholders
• Plan, create, and document comprehensive testing strategies with emphasis on automation coverage and risk mitigation
• Present testing status, metrics, and recommendations
• Manage testing timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across concurrent projects:
• Review and approve test plans, test cases, and automation scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage
• Design and implement advanced test case and automation script frameworks with emphasis on maintainability
• Lead integration of automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab)
• Establish and manage cross-browser testing execution strategies via cloud platforms
• Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks related to testing and automation initiatives
• Execute and oversee both automated and manual testing on complex web-based products
• Analyze test execution results and generate reports and dashboards
• Optimize test execution speed, reliability, and resource utilization across the testing infrastructure
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new testing tools and approaches to improve overall testing efficiency
