The Role (Reporting Analyst)
This position is an integral part of the Operational Reporting and Analytics team whose mission is to provide meaningful data, reports and set up user friendly self-serve dashboards for our internal customers. This position will spend significant time assisting operational teams with providing data on a frequent interval and build dashboards for internal performance management. In addition, this individual interacts with Sirva Senior Management for internal data & reporting requests that are required to run the day-to-day operations. The Reporting Analyst will work closely with the client services, client accounting, supply chain management and most internal employees in the Sirva group to support them on day-to-day needs of reporting and data analysis with an aim to achieve highest standard with accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, support, and maintain Standard and Ad-hoc reports achieving highest standard of accuracy and timeliness using industry standard practices.
  • Develop, enhance, support and maintain Automated reporting processes/jobs using.
  • T-SQL, SQL, Microsoft Power BI Tools, and other tools to reduce manual intervention and to achieve increased productivity.
  • Liaise with internal customers, validate, and document reporting requirements and provide appropriate reporting solutions.
  • Understand the needs of internal partners to produce accurate and timely Standard and Ad-hoc reports.
  • Prepare and present analytical data and recommendations.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Data Reporting and Analysis from multiple sources using various reporting and data analysis tools.
  • knowledge of and experience in reporting and analysis using various BI/Reporting tools (Microsoft BI Tools - SSRS/ Power BI, Power Query etc.)
  • Experience in one of the Query Languages (SQL)
  • Experience in developing dashboards in MS Power BI technology
  • Adept at writing complex queries using SQL/T-SQL for reporting purposes.
  • Experience working with MS SQL Server 2017 or higher.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Advantageous Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge and/or experience working with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Knowledge and/or experience working with Power Pivot and power queries.
  • Knowledge and/or experience working with MDX (Multidimensional expressions) language.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in writing Reports with Microsoft Reports Integrated in SharePoint

Qualifications

  • BS in Information Technology, Business or the equivalent and/or related work experience, including business experience.
  • MS Certified PBI Data analyst is preferable.
