Location: Goregaon East, Mumbai
Reporting To: CMD
Job Summary:
The Legal Advisor will be responsible for overseeing all legal and compliance matters of the organization, providing sound legal advice to management, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations, drafting and reviewing contracts, and representing the company in legal proceedings when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal guidance on business operations, agreements, and contracts.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MOUs, lease agreements, vendor and client agreements.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, statutory filings, and regulatory requirements.
Handle legal notices, arbitration, and litigation matters in coordination with external lawyers.
Maintain proper documentation and legal records for company properties, licenses, and permits.
Advise management on risk mitigation strategies and legal implications of business decisions.
Liaise with government authorities, consultants, and law firms when required.
Stay updated with amendments in labour laws, contract law, company law, and other relevant acts.
Support HR and Admin teams in disciplinary, labour, or compliance-related issues.
Qualifications & Education:
Educational Qualification:
LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized university (mandatory).
LL.M (Master of Laws) preferred but not mandatory.
Experience:
510 years of relevant experience as a Legal Officer / Legal Advisor / Corporate Lawyer.
Prior experience in infrastructure, construction, or engineering sectors will be an added advantage.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of corporate, labour, and contract law.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to interpret laws, judgments, and government circulars.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple legal matters independently.
