About the Role

We are seeking an
Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist
with
1+ years of experience
in the US healthcare domain. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding claims from various payers to
maximize cash flow
and
minimize bad debt
through timely follow-ups and appeals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Claim Follow-Up

  • Proactively follow up on unpaid and denied claims with commercial insurance carriers, Medicare, and Medicaid.

2. Denial Management

  • Research and resolve complex claim denials.
  • Submit appeals and corrected claims in a timely manner.

3. Payment Posting

  • Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.

4. Reporting & Analysis

  • Generate and analyze AR aging reports to prioritize collection efforts and identify recurring issues or trends.

5. Communication & Collaboration

  • Maintain professional communication with payers and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies efficiently.

6. Compliance

  • Ensure all AR activities adhere to
    HIPAA guidelines
    and current billing regulations.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience:
    Minimum
    1 year
    of dedicated AR experience within the US healthcare sector (facility, physician, or professional billing).
  • Payer Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of
    Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
    .
  • RCM Expertise:
    Familiarity with the
    end-to-end revenue cycle
    , including denial codes, appeals, and basic CPT/ICD-10 coding.
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficient in
    Practice Management (PM) Software
    and
    Microsoft Office Suite (Excel preferred)
    .
  • Soft Skills:
    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
