Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Deputy General Manager of Land Acquisition will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing the land acquisition strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives and regulatory compliance.
  • Leading a team of land acquisition professionals and providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of land acquisition activities.
  • Negotiating and finalizing agreements for the acquisition of land parcels, ensuring fair and transparent dealings with landowners and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with legal and regulatory teams to ensure all land acquisition activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Engaging with local communities, government bodies, and non-governmental organizations to address concerns, provide information, and maintain positive relationships during the land acquisition process.
  • Overseeing the land documentation process, including title verification, lease agreements, and other necessary legal formalities.
  • Conducting thorough due diligence on potential land parcels to assess suitability for mining operations and mitigate any associated risks.
  • Managing budgets, timelines, and resources for land acquisition projects to ensure cost-effective and efficient outcomes.
  • Reporting regularly to senior management on the progress, challenges, and opportunities related to land acquisition initiatives.

  • Familiarity with land valuation methodologies and financial analysis for acquisition negotiations.

  • Demonstrated track record of successful land acquisition in the mining industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Thorough understanding of land acquisition laws and regulations.
Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 18 years of experience in land acquisition within the mining industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful negotiations, acquisition, and management of land parcels for mining operations.
  • Proven experience in liaising with government authorities, local communities, and other stakeholders for land-related matters.

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Advanced degree or certification in Land Acquisition, Real Estate Management, or related disciplines preferred.
