Role Overview

The Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Technical Consultant / Data Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-grade data solutions across Oracle EBS modules including SCM, Finance, and HR. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, functional teams, and BI/reporting teams to ensure efficient data integration, analytics, and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise-grade data lakes to integrate data from Oracle EBS modules (SCM, Finance, HR).
  • Collaborate with Oracle EBS functional teams, Data Warehouse teams, and Business teams to understand data structures, relationships, and KPIs.
  • Work with reporting teams to design and model executive-level dashboards and performance reports.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools/technologies (ETL tools, cloud platforms, reporting tools) to support enterprise data strategy.
  • Support report development using BI tools such as OBIEE, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), and Power BI.
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation and data models.
  • Translate business requirements into optimized technical solutions for reporting and analytics.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with HMC Service Management guidelines, including Change and Release management processes.
  • Liaise with Oracle EBS consultants, technical teams, and business teams during design, development, and testing.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics in an Oracle EBS environment.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.x data structures (SCM, Finance, HR).
  • Proven experience in designing/implementing data lakes or data warehouses for Oracle EBS.
  • Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, and query optimization.
  • Experience with BI tools: OBIEE, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Power BI.
  • Experience in ETL/ELT design and development.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management practices.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal), problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with user/system documentation, training sessions, and raising SRs on My Oracle Support following Oracle standards.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud and data migration strategies is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Database / EBS
  • Oracle Analytics Cloud or OBIEE certification
