Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled MicroStrategy Developer with strong expertise in SQL and hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using MicroStrategy.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 7 years of experience in BI development, with a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable reports and dashboards.


Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and scorecards to support business decision-making.

- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, transform, and load data efficiently from multiple sources.

- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Create and manage MicroStrategy metadata objects such as attributes, facts, hierarchies, filters, and metrics.

- Develop and implement data models to support BI reporting and analytics needs.

- Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of BI reports.

- Optimize MicroStrategy reports and dashboards for performance and scalability.

- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancement of existing BI solutions.

- Document BI development processes, configurations, and standards to maintain knowledge base and facilitate knowledge transfer.

- Stay updated with the latest MicroStrategy features, BI trends, and industry best practices.

- Work closely with database administrators to ensure smooth data integration and performance tuning.


Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 3 to 7 years of professional experience as a MicroStrategy Developer or BI Developer.

- Strong proficiency in SQL with experience in writing complex queries, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Hands-on experience with MicroStrategy Desktop, MicroStrategy Web, and MicroStrategy Architect.

- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and ETL processes.

- Experience in creating MicroStrategy objects : attributes, facts, metrics, filters, and hierarchies.

- Ability to design and implement dashboards, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate insights.

- Familiarity with other BI tools and data visualization platforms is a plus.

- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata.

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation is a plus.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
