CNC Programmer

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to develop CNC programs.

Create, modify, and optimize G-code programs for CNC machines (e.g., VMC, HMC, Turning Centers).

Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters for efficient machining.

Conduct program simulations and dry runs to ensure accuracy and prevent collisions.

Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to meet part specifications and delivery timelines.

Troubleshoot machining issues and revise programs as needed for optimal performance.

Maintain documentation of CNC programs, setup sheets, and tooling instructions.

Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and production targets.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and scrap rates.

Train machine operators on new programs and assist during initial production runs.

Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Production / Tool Engineering or a related field.

Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a production environment.

Strong knowledge of CNC machines, cutting tools, and machining techniques.

Familiarity with CAM software such as Mastercam, Siemens NX, Edgecam, or similar.

Ability to read and interpret GD&T symbols and engineering drawings.

Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming
