We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Engineer to support the safe and compliant construction of a green hydrogen production facility. The EHS Engineer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring site-specific safety and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international HSE standards. This role plays a critical part in promoting a strong safety culture during the execution of civil, mechanical, electrical, and process-related activities.

  • Implement, monitor, and continuously improve the site-specific EHS Management System in alignment with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international EHS regulations, particularly concerning hazardous materials and hydrogen-specific safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments; follow up on corrective actions.
  • Monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, including hot work, confined space, and lifting operations.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses; track and close corrective/preventive actions.
  • Deliver EHS inductions and training for staff, contractors, and visitors.
  • Develop and promote safety awareness campaigns and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure implementation of emergency response plans, including hydrogen leak and fire scenarios.
  • Interface with construction, engineering, and commissioning teams to identify and mitigate safety and environmental risks.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation including daily reports, HSE statistics, safety dashboards, and regulatory submissions.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure alignment with project HSE requirements and standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related technical field.
