Role Overview

Were seeking a Senior Mobile Developer to lead mobile development, enhance our offline-first architecture, and guide the team in scaling mobile reliability. You'll improve our custom offline sync stack and, where valuable, evaluate managed services like AWS Amplify/AppSync or Firebase (Firestore/Storage, FCM) for hybrid/offline workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of Ionic + Angular mobile apps.
  • Improve and extend our custom offline-first stack (caching, sync queues, conflict resolution, background workers).
  • Explore and optionally integrate AWS Amplify/AppSync/Cognito/S3 or Firebase (Firestore, Storage, FCM)where it enhances scale and reliability.
  • Build media-heavy workflows: offline capture, resumable uploads, compression, markups/annotations.
  • Integrate native features: camera, gallery, geolocation, push notifications (including Firebase Cloud Messaging), secure storage, offline maps.
  • Manage OTA (over-the-air) app updates and app store submission workflows.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on APIs, pagination, change feeds, real-time sync.
  • Conduct code reviews, set coding standards, and lead best practices.
  • Mentor and upskill other team members.
  • Ensure robust security, scalability, and performance in offline/online modes.

Required Skills

  • 5–8 years in mobile development with Ionic Framework + Angular.
  • Deep expertise in offline-first architectures: sync logic, conflict resolution, background services.
  • Strong with custom sync implementations (without managed services).
  • Experience with AWS Amplify, AppSync, Cognito, S3 and/or Firebase (Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging).
  • Proven track record in push notification handling (FCM/APNs).
  • Skilled in API integration, REST/GraphQL.
  • Experience managing large media/data sync workflows.
  • Strong debugging, performance optimization, and observability practices.
  • Leadership in mentoring, code reviews, small-team guidance.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to mobile security/encryption best practices.
  • OTA updates and enterprise distribution.
  • SaaS or field service domain experience.
