A Foundry Head is responsible for overall foundry operations, including production, safety, quality control, and team leadership. Key duties involve managing production schedules, ensuring equipment maintenance, enforcing safety protocols, optimizing processes for efficiency, and meeting quality standards. This leadership role typically requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and extensive experience in a foundry or metal casting environment

Role & responsibilities :

• Production management: Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Team leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate foundry personnel, including mold makers, melters, and quality control inspectors.
• Quality control: Monitor and maintain high-quality standards for all metal castings and take ownership of corrective actions.
• Safety and compliance: Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and regulatory standards.
• Equipment maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all foundry equipment, such as furnaces and molding machines.
• Process optimization: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Financial management: Monitor and control production costs, including materials, labor, and energy consumption.
• Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and logistics, to streamline operations.

Qualifications:-

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is often required.
• Experience: A minimum of 18+ years of experience in a foundry or metal casting environment is typically necessary.
• Skills: Strong leadership and managerial skills are essential. A deep understanding of metallurgical processes, quality control, and safety regulations is crucial. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities are also required.
