Being in a high visibility position it will play an impactful role in realizing the business ambition by co-building and executing the strategic masterplan for operationsMission of Role This position will support the Director Operations Development  to meet Suntory Global Spirits' ambitious growth goals, reporting to the Director Operations - India. This position provides the Organization with an enduring techno -commercial competitive advantage within Global Manufacturing and builds future fit operations capability.The incumbent will support operations director in developing and delivering initiatives to support key business metrics by being the principal lead for key strategic business priorities qualifying as projects with overarching impact on success of India Business by building network of Co-Man, Indian Malt suppliers, Central Blending Hub, Distillation & other high impact future projects meeting quality, timelines, and cost targets in line with Suntory Global Spirits India Sunrise ambition.This position requires strong networking skills, collaboration with key stakeholders to convince on plans and strong personal drive to execute projects.This position will also work closely with Suntory Global Spirits Operations colleagues across International region / India such as Manufacturing, Quality, Innovation, Finance, Strategy & Marketing. Role ResponsibilitiesResponsible for executing the manufacturing footprint expansion India plan , support the line manager in identification of new bottling partners , specifying infrastructure requirements, commercial negotiations with support of Sourcing function, Owns market analysis to ensure full and up to date understanding of marketplace and all potential options and opportunitiesDrives continuous improvement programmes with 3rd party manufacturers to ensure improvement across all key metricsOwns contingency planning for all 3rd party manufacturing options in tandem with Supply Planning & ManufacturingBuilds capex plan to deliver the key strategic projects at targeted levels of ROICSupports the Director Operation Development in managing key long term supply chain success enablers (>3 Yrs) for SGS India including liaising with the Internal and External Stake holders, coordinating and leading Project teams; supervising members of the Project team; and overseeing project implementation, financial and administrative oversight, reporting, and monitoring, reporting and evaluation of the projectExecutes the defined Operating Models & ways of working with global support functions.Builds long term resource mapping & succession plans in line with long term operations strategy Demonstrates a passion for diversity and inclusion in all aspects of leadership.Partners with the business, supply fulfillment to deliver a robust S&OP process, optimally balancing supply with demand in new and existing marketsApply a structured methodology and drive change management activities across Manufacturing operationsDemonstrates commitment to Quality, Safety and Environmental leadership as scope in new expansion plans within India Operations. Understands and controls critical risks while providing transparency to the organization.Engages professionally and represents the business' best interests with local and regional authorities. Ensure compliance with all local laws and Global guidelines.Ensures operations can deliver high levels of production plan conformance (PPC), to specification, to deliver target OTIF service levels by building efficient network of Co-Man'sDemonstrates an enterprise mindset, seeking to embrace internal and external best practices. Builds network relationships and bridges based on respect and trust.Complies with all legal requirements and ethical standards relating to the management of people, assets, suppliers and third parties.Travel:  Primarily around India however may on occasion be required to attend global locations for manufacturing meetings/best practice sharing Qualifications Education: Engineering, Science or Operations/ Supply Chain related degree. MBA preferable.Certifications/Licensure: PMP desirableYears of experience: 12-15 years in manufacturing operations roles with increasing responsibility within alcoholic beverages industry with good understanding of Excise rules PAN India, good networking within the Alco Bev India industry Operations General Management with multi-plant expansion experience, leading multidisciplinary teams. Broader SC experience would be an advantage, expertise in financial understanding of business case modeling, impact on COGS, strong understanding of value drivers in negotiation and commercial acumen  In depth knowledge of local laws and regulations in India related to Alco-Bev business Inclusive and collaborative style - able to work in matrix organizations, connecting people and best-practices. Tough on standards and execution discipline. A confident, visionary individual who can engage with multiple senior stakeholders from different countries and cultures.Industry experience:  An international background in a World Class branded company, preferably within premium categories is desirable.
