Quality Manager for Vacuum Interrupter plant at Goa with an experience of 10-12 years in Quality Assurance, specifically in Vacuum Interrupter production processes.
Must possess following skills
Auditing: Proficient in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and VDA 6.3 standards.
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Extensive use Quality Tools: 7 QC tools, Statistical tools for analysis, 8 D reporting for non-conformity, FMEA
Communication & Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint & visualization tools like Power Bi, Tableau
Abilities and Knowledge
Data Analysis: Effective use of tools like root cause analysis and Pareto charts.
Quality Control: Knowledge of 7 QC tools and statistical analysis.
Reporting: Proficient in 8D reporting for non-conformities.
Supplier Quality: Conduct on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and corrective action verification.
Duties and Responsibilities
Shop Rounds: Conduct regular inspections to identify quality assurance points during manufacturing, with at least two checks per shift.
Problem Resolution: Initiate and oversee activities to resolve quality issues.
Make decisions on the acceptability of parts and escalate to experts when necessary.
Coordinate with HQ Quality and other relevant functions to find solutions.
Monitor historical trends and data related to quality issues.
Ensure that corrective and preventive actions (CA/PA) are implemented.
Inform all relevant parties about serious quality issues.
Quality Improvement Projects:
Proactively identify and work on improvement projects.
Implement measures identified in projects.
Documentation: Prepare and update checklists, procedures, and other quality assurance documents.
Non-Conformance Review: Review NCRs and follow up with suppliers for corrective actions.
Daily Meetings: Conduct daily meetings with shop engineers to:
Clarify open quality points.
Discuss rejection material status.
Review quality findings from shop rounds.
Escalation: Escalate serious quality deviations to Quality Head and SPR.
Product Audits: Conduct product audits to ensure quality.
This role requires a proactive approach to quality management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with various teams.
