The Role.
Text Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop and implement text analytics solutions using SAS Text Miner, SAS Visual Text Analytics, or Base SAS
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and analytical reports using SAS Visual Analytics
  • Analyze and extract insights from large volumes of unstructured text data, including patterns, topics, and sentiment
  • Automate and parameterize reports to ensure scalability, repeatability, and optimization of reporting processes

Programming & Data Engineering

  • Write and maintain efficient SAS programs using SAS Viya 3.5 within SAS Studio
  • Utilize SAS 9, Base SAS, and SAS Macros to support data processing, transformation, and analytics workflows
  • Prepare and manipulate datasets using SAS Enterprise Guide and SQL for analytical and reporting purposes
  • Apply basic to intermediate Python skills for preprocessing and enhancing text analytics or data integration pipelines

The Expertise.
Experience & Background

  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a SAS Developer or Data Analyst
  • Proficiency in SAS Viya 3.5 programming using SAS Studio
  • Strong command of SAS 9, Base SAS, and SAS Macros
  • Data preparation and manipulation using SAS Enterprise Guide and SQL
  • Familiarity with Python for text processing or pre-analytics work (basic to intermediate)
  • Solid hands-on experience in text analytics, reporting, and data visualization using SAS tools
  • Strong understanding of data preparation workflows and analytics lifecycle
  • Experience with SAS Text Miner, SAS Visual Text Analytics, or Base SAS for text analytics
  • Building and delivering dashboards and reports using SAS Visual Analytics
  • Ability to extract patterns, topics, and sentiments from large text datasets
  • Ability to parameterize, automate, and optimize reporting
  • Preferably with previous work on Singapore government or public sector projects

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent fields
  • SAS certifications (Text Analytics, Advanced Programming, or Viya) are a strong plus
  • Experience in handling unstructured data and transforming it into meaningful insights
