Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented
Manual Tester

to take full ownership of testing our Shopify app across different use cases and environments. You will be responsible for executing manual test plans, identifying bugs, documenting issues clearly, and working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform end-to-end manual testing of our Shopify app features.
  • Continuously monitor the app for issues and ensure thorough testing with each update or release.
  • Prepare and execute test cases based on functional and business requirements.
  • Identify, document, and report bugs clearly with all necessary details (steps to reproduce, screenshots, environment details, etc.).
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and support teams to validate fixes and re-test resolved issues.
  • Test across different Shopify themes, browsers, and devices to ensure full compatibility.
  • Suggest process improvements for better QA efficiency and coverage.

Requirements:

  • 6 moths -1 year of experience in manual testing (Shopify app testing experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of web applications, e-commerce flows, and usability testing.
  • Familiarity with Shopify and its ecosystem is a big plus.
  • Experience with tools like Trello, Jira, ClickUp, Notion, or similar for bug tracking and task management.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and bug reports.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Preferred:

  • Experience with browser dev tools and console log analysis.
  • Knowledge of Shopify partner dashboard, app embed blocks, or app installation flows.
  • Exposure to API testing and Postman basics.
