Job Title: Technical Engineer – IT Networking

Department: Information Technology / Network Operations

Reports To: IT Manager / Network Administrator

Job Summary:

The Technical Engineer – IT Networking is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's network infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting network issues, optimizing performance, ensuring security, and supporting end-users and IT systems across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VPNs.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
  • Manage LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments across multiple sites.
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for internet, leased lines, and other network services.
  • Perform regular network health checks, backups, and preventive maintenance.
  • Support server and storage infrastructure as required (Windows/Linux environment).
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, IP address management, and change logs.
  • Assist in network upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning projects.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams and end-users.
  • Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 6 Month to 1 year of experience in IT networking or a related technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, and network routing/switching.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, HP, or similar network devices.
  • Familiarity with firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos) and network security best practices.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
  • Understanding of VoIP, cloud networking (AWS/Azure), and SD-WAN is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, JNCIA, etc.) preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: ₹10, ₹15,000.00 per month
