MIS Executive – Job ProfilePosition Summary

An MIS (Management Information Systems) Executive is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and managing data to support business decision-making. The role involves preparing reports, maintaining databases, automating workflows, and ensuring data accuracy across departments. MIS Executives help organizations monitor performance, optimize operations, and improve productivity through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities1. Reporting & Data Management

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
  • Create dashboards, trackers, and performance reports.
  • Analyze data trends and highlight deviations or issues.
  • Automate repetitive reports using Excel, SQL, or BI tools.

2. Database Management

  • Maintain and update company databases (Excel, Google Sheets, ERP, CRM).
  • Validate and clean data to ensure accuracy.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports as requested by management.

3. Business Support

  • Work with sales, operations, HR, finance, or logistics teams to gather data.
  • Provide analytical insights that support strategic planning.
  • Monitor KPIs and help improve operational efficiency.

4. Technical & System Support

  • Provide troubleshooting support for MIS tools, ERP systems, and reporting software.
  • Coordinate with the IT department for system enhancements or issues.

Required Skills

  • Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, Power Query).
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or Tableau (preferred).
  • Understanding of ERP/CRM systems.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, IT, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • 0–3 years of experience for junior roles; 3–5+ years for senior positions.
  • Certification in data analytics or Excel is a plus.
