Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and results-driven Ad Script Writer to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the EdTech industry and the ability to craft compelling, crisp, and persuasive ad scripts tailored for Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google (YouTube/Display/Video Ads) platforms. This role demands storytelling skills, marketing psychology understanding, and conversion-focused writing to maximize ROI from our ad campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop 10+ high-quality ad scripts per campaign cycle, aligned with marketing objectives and brand voice.
  • Write engaging short-form & long-form ad scripts optimized for Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram Reels/Stories/Feed) and Google Ads (YouTube Pre-roll, Discovery, Display).
  • Collaborate with the creative, performance marketing, and video production teams to convert scripts into impactful ad campaigns.
  • Leverage consumer psychology, CTA hooks, and storytelling techniques to drive conversions.
  • Conduct competitor analysis & industry research to craft scripts that stand out in the EdTech space.
  • Optimize scripts based on A/B testing results, CTR, engagement, and conversion data.
  • Ensure compliance with platform guidelines (Meta & Google) while maintaining creativity.
  • Stay updated on ad trends, industry insights, and learner/parent behavior in the EdTech sector.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (preferred but not mandatory if portfolio is strong).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience in ad copy/script writing, with EdTech industry exposure.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising formats, attention economy, and conversion funnels.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of psychology-driven hooks (problem-solution, emotional appeal, urgency, FOMO).
  • Experience collaborating with media buyers, designers, and video editors.
  • Strong portfolio of successful ad scripts across Meta and Google platforms (must be shared during application).
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Preferred Qualities

  • Prior experience writing scripts for student-focused, parent-focused, or B2C EdTech campaigns.
  • Comfort in experimenting with regional language (Tamil/Thanglish) and English mix for better relatability.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for trends, memes, and social-first content hooks.
  • Analytical mindset to translate ad performance metrics into better scripts.
