Role & responsibilities

Role Overview:

The Head of HR Operations will be responsible for overseeing and driving all HR operational functions including HR compliance, payroll, employee life cycle management, HR systems, policy implementation, and process excellence. This role ensures smooth HR service delivery, compliance with labor laws, and alignment of HR operations with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. HR Operations & Service Delivery

  2. Oversee end-to-end HR operations including employee onboarding, payroll, HRIS, leave & attendance, benefits administration, and exit processes.

  3. Implement HR service delivery standards and ensure adherence to SLAs.
  4. Lead employee data management and ensure accuracy, security, and confidentiality.

  5. Compliance & Policy Management

  6. Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal requirements across locations.

  7. Maintain HR policies and procedures in line with organizational goals and labor laws.
  8. Handle audits, employee records, and HR compliance reporting.

  9. Payroll & Benefits

  10. Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy in salary, reimbursements, and statutory deductions.

  11. Manage benefits administration including insurance, retirement benefits, and other employee welfare schemes.

  12. Technology & Process Excellence

  13. Drive automation and efficiency in HR processes through HRIS and technology solutions.

  14. Lead process improvements to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
  15. Monitor HR dashboards, metrics, and analytics for decision-making.

  16. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  17. Lead, mentor, and manage the HR Operations team.

  18. Partner with business leaders, HRBPs, and COEs to ensure smooth HR service delivery.
  19. Act as a point of escalation for employee concerns related to HR operations.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, HRIS, and payroll systems.
  • Deep understanding of labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process optimization skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and people leadership capabilities.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or related field.
  • 1018 years of experience in HR, with at least 8 years in HR Operations leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in handling large-scale HR operations, compliance, and process excellence.
