About the Role

We're looking for a Business Analyst with strong coding acumen and at least 1 year of hands-on experience. You'll turn business questions into data-driven insights, automate analyses with code, and translate findings into clear recommendations that improve product, process, and profitability. You'll also be expected to leverage modern
AI/ML-powered tools and assistants

to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and creativity in analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

Data & Analysis:

Write robust SQL; use Python/R to clean, join, and analyze datasets; automate recurring analyses and reports.

Dashboards & Storytelling:

Build and maintain BI dashboards (Power BI/Tableau/Looker) and present clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.

API & Integration:

Use
Postman

to test REST/GraphQL APIs; read Swagger/OpenAPI; handle auth, pagination, and errors; build lightweight Python jobs/webhooks to pull data into analytics workflows.

Process Improvement:

Map as-is/to-be processes, identify bottlenecks, and recommend measurable improvements.

Quality, Debugging & Issue Resolution:

Proactively monitor data freshness/accuracy, quickly identify issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes with clear documentation.

AI Adoption:

Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, BI AI features) to speed up query writing, documentation, code debugging, insight generation, and dashboard automation while ensuring accuracy and validation.

Collaboration:

Work with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to prioritize work, align on metrics, and deliver outcomes.

Requirements

Experience:

1+ year

Coding:

Strong SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions, performance basics) and Python
or

R for analysis/automation.

APIs & Postman:

Hands-on with Postman (collections, tests, env vars), REST fundamentals, OAuth 2.0/API keys, and JSON handling.

BI Tools:

Working knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or Looker (modeling basics, calculated fields, parameters, alerts).

Analytical Strength:

Excellent problem-solving, hypothesis framing, exploratory analysis, and crisp communication of insights.

Debugging & QA:

Data validation, reconciliation across sources, error handling, and root-cause analysis.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
