Job Description: Database Engineer / Database Administrator

Experience Required: 3 8 Years

Budget: Up to 14 LPA

Location: Gurugram / Bangalore

Role Type: Database Engineer / Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage SQL Server databases ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  • Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies to maintain data integrity.
  • Implement and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for database security and compliance.
  • Manage and optimize ETL workflows using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
  • Migrate databases to Azure using Azure Database Migration Service (DMS) and ensure seamless cloud integration.
  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries for efficiency.
  • Automate regular tasks such as indexing, statistics updates, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure smooth integration with applications.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong expertise in SQL Server administration (installation, configuration, tuning, patching).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Database Migration Service (DMS) and Azure SQL Database.
  • Proficiency in SSIS for ETL processes.
  • Deep understanding of backup/recovery strategies and high availability solutions (Always On, Replication, Mirroring).
  • Knowledge of RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and database security best practices.
  • Familiarity with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Exposure to Azure cloud database services and administration.

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300) or equivalent.
