Role & responsibilities

  • Quality System Development:Design, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to ensure consistent product and process quality.
  • Product & Process Inspection:Conduct thorough inspections and tests of raw materials, components, equipment, and final products to verify they meet specifications and standards.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:Analyze quality data, monitor performance, identify trends, and document anomalies to pinpoint root causes of defects.
  • Problem-Solving:Investigate production and product issues, develop and implement effective corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans to resolve them.
  • Compliance:Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as ISO 9001, as well as federal regulations and internal quality policies.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with design, production, and operations teams to integrate quality into the product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Supplier Management:Manage supplier quality, including conducting audits and liaising with vendors to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
  • Documentation:Create and maintain detailed records of quality assurance activities, test results, audits, and non-conformances.
  • Continuous Improvement:Drive initiatives for continuous improvement by implementing process enhancements and training employees on quality tools and procedures.

  • Technical Expertise:Knowledge of engineering principles, quality control methods, and relevant industry standards.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and interpret data effectively.
  • Attention to Detail:Meticulous approach to inspections, data recording, and documentation.
  • Communication Skills:Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with various teams, management, and suppliers.
  • Project Management:Skills to manage quality initiatives, audits, and the implementation of improvement plans.
