Quality Assurance (QA) Responsibilities: - Civil (Railway Experience)

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to assess compliance with established quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Review and evaluate product specifications, processes, and procedures to ensure optimal efficiency and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Coordinate the investigation and resolution of customer complaints, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor quality metrics and develop reporting systems to track performance, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead or support the introduction of new products or processes to ensure quality standards are integrated from the start.

Quality Control (QC) Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections, tests, and sampling of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Analyze test data, document results, and report findings to the production and engineering teams.
  • Ensure adherence to quality specifications by using appropriate measuring instruments and methodologies.
  • Conduct physical and mechanical testing, including visual inspections, dimensional checks, and functional tests.
  • Monitor and inspect production processes, ensuring that they comply with quality guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure materials meet specifications and conduct incoming quality inspections as necessary.
  • Maintain records of QC activities and inspections, ensuring traceability and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Suggest improvements to the QC process, including equipment, methods, and training to enhance product quality.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, field.
  • Proven experience of 2 years as a Quality Assurance and Quality Control Engineer, or in a similar role in a civil company
  • Strong knowledge of quality control and quality assurance methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in using testing equipment, inspection tools, and quality measurement systems.
  • Good knowledge of IS codes
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in quality management systems or quality control is a plus.
