Job Title: Onsite Cybersecurity and Networking Specialist

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India — Onsite at Data Center

Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite (Resident Engineer Support)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Cybersecurity and Networking Specialist to provide onsite technical support in a data center environment located in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The engineer will be responsible for security administration, network monitoring, configuration management, vulnerability mitigation, and coordination with OEMs for incident resolution.

This role ensures the availability, integrity, and security of critical IT infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications:

Educational: Diploma or BE/B.Tech in IT, ECE, or CSE from a recognized institution

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in Security Administration and Network Monitoring

Certifications: Valid CCNA certification or equivalent

Work Schedule: Regular Day Shift, Onsite Presence Required at the Data Center

Key Responsibilities:

The onsite technical support engineer will perform, but not be limited to, the following activities:

  1. Security & Network Monitoring

Daily monitoring of health status for all Security and Network devices.

Continuous monitoring of network connectivity, including switches and routers.

Proactive alert handling and escalation for potential security events.

  1. Configuration Management

Configuration and re-configuration of Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), AAA servers, EMS, and Switches.

Maintain and take regular configuration backups for all devices.

  1. Incident Management & Troubleshooting

Investigate and troubleshoot security incidents and network issues.

Coordinate with OEMs for repairs, part replacements, and escalations.

Apply software patches and firmware updates to maintain system health.

  1. Vulnerability Management

Identify, analyze, and fix vulnerabilities detected in Security and Network devices.

Implement necessary remediations as per organizational cybersecurity policies.

  1. Log Management

Monitor and analyze logs from Log Analyzer, AAA, EMS, and other sources.

Maintain and retain logs as per Cybersecurity standards and policies.

Manage log backups and transfers to storage as needed.

Generate log reports and alert notifications for anomalies and security events.

  1. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Update configuration change logs, backup reports, and incident response documentation.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall policies, and routing/switching.

Hands-on experience with NGFW, WAF, EMS, and AAA systems.

Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, log analysis, and incident response.

Proficient in configuration backup, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and coordination skills.

Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

Knowledge of SIEM tools or Security Analytics platforms.

Experience working with data center environments or critical infrastructure networks.

Additional certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH, Fortinet NSE, or Palo Alto PCNSE.
