Roles & responsibilities

  • Help with maintenance of machines like gearboxes, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and ink pumps.
  • Support senior fitters during preventive and breakdown maintenance jobs.
  • Learn to use tools like drilling machines, angle grinders, and welding machines (with proper guidance).
  • Assist in daily checks and small repair work for utilities such as thermopack, chiller, air compressor, EOT cranes, and fire-fighting systems.
  • Learn how to read mechanical drawings and understand how different parts fit and work together.
  • Get hands-on experience with measuring tools like vernier calipers and micrometers.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Be eager to learn and show interest in maintenance work.
  • Follow instructions carefully and ask questions when unsure.
  • Keep your tools clean and take care of the workplace.
  • Always follow safety rules and wear proper PPE (gloves, helmet, shoes, etc.).
  • Have a positive attitude and be ready to work in shifts if needed.

Qualification - ITI Fitter / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
