Role Overview:

  • The Government Subsidy Manager will be responsible for identifying, applying, and managing subsidies, incentives, and grants offered by Central and State Governments.
  • The role requires expertise in industrial schemes, strong liaison with government departments, and ensuring timely compliance to maximize benefits for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Subsidy Identification & Research

  • Stay updated with government policies, incentive schemes, industrial subsidies, and financial assistance programs.
  • Analyze eligibility criteria and advise management on applicable schemes.

Application & Documentation

  • Prepare, compile, and submit subsidy applications, supporting documents, and project reports to relevant authorities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Accounts, Production, Projects, HR) for necessary information.

Government Liaison

  • Maintain regular contact with government bodies (DIC, MIDC, MSME Dept, NSIC, DGFT, Banks, etc.).
  • Ensure smooth processing and follow-up of subsidy claims until disbursement.

Compliance & Monitoring

  • Ensure adherence to all rules, regulations, and timelines under subsidy schemes.
  • Maintain subsidy claim tracker and update management on progress.
  • Handle subsidy audits, inspections, and queries raised by authorities.

Advisory & Strategy

  • Suggest strategies to maximize government benefits and cost savings.
  • Prepare MIS reports and presentations for top management.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Graduate/Post Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Law, or related field.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in handling government subsidies, incentives, and industrial schemes.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of Central & State Government policies (MSME, Startup India, Make in India, Export Incentives, PLI, etc.).
  • Strong networking with government officials and departments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, subsidy portals, and compliance platforms.
