Purpose of the job:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a strong portfolio showcasing their work, and the ability to translate concepts and ideas into visually compelling graphics. You will collaborate with various teams to create visually appealing content that aligns with our brand identity and resonates with our target audience.

Accountabilities:

  • They are responsible for creating a wide range of design materials, spanning from print collateral like brochures, posters, and business cards to digital assets such as website graphics, social media visuals, and multimedia presentations. Ensuring brand consistency is paramount, as Graphic Designers must adhere to established brand guidelines in all their work to maintain a cohesive and recognizable brand identity. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to brainstorm ideas, discuss project requirements, and incorporate feedback into their designs.

  • Another crucial accountability for Graphic Designers is proficiently utilizing graphic design software, especially Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. They should be skilled in image editing, which includes tasks like retouching and enhancing images to maximize visual impact. Organizational skills come into play when managing design files, assets, and resources for efficient access and future reference. Graphic Designers are tasked with juggling multiple projects simultaneously, and their ability to manage deadlines is vital for project success.

  • Create eye-catching and effective graphics for a variety of mediums, including print materials, websites, social media, and multimedia presentations.

Branding

  • Ensure consistency in design elements and adhere to brand guidelines in all projects to maintain a strong brand identity.

Conceptualization

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and develop design concepts and ideas.

Layout and Composition & Editing

  • Use typography, color theory, and composition principles to create aesthetically pleasing designs. Edit and retouch images to enhance their visual impact.

Software Proficiency & File Management

  • Utilize graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools. Organize and maintain design files, assets, and resources for easy access and future use.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

Essentially required

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience

2+ years of working experience.
