Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Planning and Control Manager to join our team in Greater Noida. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in production planning and control within the Furniture Manufacturing Industry and possess excellent skills in managing machine planning, material planning, and manpower planning. The PPC Manager will be responsible for overseeing production schedules, ensuring resource optimization, maintaining inventory, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products while optimizing resources (machines, materials, manpower).
- Machine Planning: Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure proper machine utilization and availability for production runs. Identify bottlenecks in machine capacity and propose solutions.
- Material Planning: Oversee material procurement and inventory management to ensure a steady flow of required raw materials. Work closely with the procurement and inventory teams to minimize material wastage.
- Manpower Planning: Coordinate with HR and production teams to ensure adequate staffing based on production needs. Monitor workforce performance and suggest improvements for better productivity.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Work closely with the production, procurement, and design teams to ensure smooth flow of information and alignment with project timelines. Handle coordination with quality assurance, logistics, and supply chain teams.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve production processes, identifying areas for cost reduction, improved efficiency, and quality enhancement.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit detailed production reports, ensuring all KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are met. Maintain accurate documentation of production plans and adjustments.
- Problem-Solving and Decision Making: Address production issues promptly, whether related to machine downtime, material shortages, or manpower constraints. Make quick decisions to minimize production delays.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all production activities comply with company standards, safety regulations, and quality guidelines.
- Cost Management: Collaborate with finance and management teams to adhere to the production budget, aiming for cost-effective operations.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in Production Planning and Control, with at least 7 years specifically in the furniture manufacturing industry.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (B. Tech) or a related field.
- Expert Knowledge: Strong understanding of PPC concepts, including machine planning, material planning, and manpower planning.
- Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the furniture manufacturing process, materials, and production methods.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using PPC software tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MS Excel, etc.), Auto CAD
- Leadership & Teamwork: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with various departments and external vendors.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and decision-making skills to manage production-related challenges.
