Student Counselor – CA

About the Role

Winners Zone Pvt Ltd is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable and student-oriented Counselor to guide aspiring students interested in professional finance and accounting qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). The Counselor will help students make informed decisions about career paths, course selections and preparation strategies — while providing ongoing support and mentorship to maximize their success.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions with students (and, when relevant, parents) to understand their academic background, interests, career goals, and suitability for CA, CFA, ACCA courses. Expertia+2TimesPro+2
• Provide detailed guidance and information about CA, CFA, ACCA courses — structure, eligibility, workload, time commitment, exam patterns, career opportunities after qualification — helping students make informed career decisions.
• Design personalized study/career plans: map out a pathway for students (short-term and long-term), aligning with their strengths, ambitions, and life commitments (e.g. work + study, after school).
• Help students with registration/enrolment processes: explaining admission requirements, eligibility criteria, scheduling, documentation, deadlines etc.
• Offer study skills support: advise on time management, exam preparation strategies, stress handling, balancing academics with other commitments (especially since CA/CFA/ACCA are demanding). Mindgroom : Career Counselling+2Indeed+2
• Organize group workshops/seminars/webinars: e.g. orientation sessions about CA/CFA/ACCA, course expectations, career prospects; mock-sessions for exam prep or time-management sessions. Himalayas+1
• Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions: student profiles, progress, decisions taken, follow-up actions. Indeed+1

• Collaborate with other stakeholders: faculty/mentors/tutors, possibly external resources (if you offer coaching or tie-ups), to support students' academic progress and address any academic or personal challenges. National Occupational Classification+1

Required / Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Educational / Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Commerce, Finance, Business, or a related field. (A Master's or diploma in counselling/education is a plus.) Expertia+2Careers360+2
• 2–3 years (or more) of experience in educational counselling, career counselling, academic mentoring, or similar roles — preferably with familiarity of professional finance/ accounting courses or higher-education guidance. LinkedIn+2Betterteam+2

What the Counselor Should Provide / Offer to Students (Value-added)

• Clear, honest assessment of each student's suitability for CA, CFA, ACCA — including realistic outlook: workload, success probability, career outcomes.
• A personalized roadmap (short & long-term) for each student, balancing ambition and feasibility.
• Emotional and motivational support + practical guidance for managing stress, exam preparation, time management, balancing studies with other responsibilities (like college, job).
• Regular check-ins / follow-ups — tracking progress, re-assessing plans as required.
• Access to resources: guidance on study materials, mock-tests or workshops (if offered), external support (mentors, peer groups), career insights, job market trends in finance/accounting.
• Transparency and clarity: about course fees, estimated time to complete, exam schedule, difficulties, expected career paths — to help students make informed decisions.

Pay: ₹25, ₹40,000.00 per month
