Job Description

Job Title: Senior PL/SQL Developer

Location: Mumbai Offshore

Department: Banking

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in PL/SQL development, including hands-on experience with collections, bulk collect, FORALL, dynamic SQL, and advanced database features.
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
  • Proficient in using EXPLAIN PLAN, analysing execution plans, and implementing query optimization strategies.
  • Experience with SQL Loader and large-scale data migration projects.
  • Deep knowledge of database design, indexing strategies, partitioning, and table inheritance.
  • Expertise in working with Oracle databases, including creating and managing database objects (functions, procedures, packages, triggers, views, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer, or similar tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially in performance-related issues.
  • Experience in monitoring, analysing, and resolving database performance bottlenecks.
  • ·  Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL code, including functions, procedures, packages, triggers, and views.
  • ·  Develop efficient and scalable PL/SQL scripts to meet business requirements.
  • ·  Utilize collections, bulk collect, and FORALL to optimize batch processing and large data handling

Preferred Skills:

  • Oracle database certifications (e.g., Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate).
  • Experience with database version upgrades and migrations.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases or cloud database platforms.
