SOciety for CHildren (SOCH) is a non-profit organization established in July 2012, registered under the Society Act XXI of 1860 and based in Odisha. Operating in Bhubaneswar, Khurdha Road, and Paradeep, SOCH runs impactful projects such as RAKSHYAK (Child Rescue and Resettlement), PUNARJIVAN (Behavior Modification for Addicted Children), PANKH (Youth Mainstreaming), and CCCD (Child Centered Community Development). The organization is dedicated to protecting child rights, rescuing children from exploitation, and enabling rehabilitation through care and experiential learning. SOCH works proactively to drive systemic change in communities and provide meaningful support to vulnerable children and youth.

Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Doctor to support the Mobile Health Unit project in Bhubaneswar. As a Doctor, you will provide primary healthcare services and treatment, conduct health check-ups, and oversee the provision of medical care to communities served by the Mobile Health Unit. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients, offering guidance on disease prevention, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring compliance with medical and ethical standards. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address community health needs and ensure the delivery of quality healthcare services on-site.

Qualifications

  • Possess an MBBS degree from a recognized institution and valid medical registration
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care, empathy, and effective communication
  • Organizational and administrative skills for record-keeping and reporting
  • Experience in public health, community outreach, or working with children is an advantage
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic community environments and work on-site
  • Commitment to working towards child welfare and promoting healthy communities
