Group Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Leadership & People Management

2. Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

3. Provide mentorship, career development, and performance management for engineering leads and ICs.

4. Drive team alignment with organizational goals and ensure delivery excellence across multiple workstreams.

5. Strategic Stakeholder Engagement

6. Partner with product managers, data scientists, and business leaders to shape product vision and execution strategy.

7. Communicate technical decisions and architectural trade-offs clearly to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

8. Influence roadmap priorities through data-driven insights and technical feasibility assessments.

9. Architectural Design & Technical Oversight

10. Own the end-to-end architecture of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native systems.

11. Translate business requirements into robust technical designs that support long-term growth and agility.

12. Ensure architectural consistency and technical quality across teams and projects.

13. Hands-On Development & Technical Depth

14. Stay hands-on with code and architecture reviews, especially for critical components.

15. Guide teams through complex technical challenges and foster engineering best practices.

16. Cloud Systems & Emerging Technologies

17. Leverage deep expertise in Cloud solutions like Azure, AWS, or GCP to build and optimize cloud-native applications.

18. Stay ahead of industry trends in LLMs, GenAI, and other emerging technologies, integrating them into product strategy where relevant.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience, including leadership of large engineering teams.
• Proven track record as a Software Architect and Engineering Manager delivering complex, scalable solutions.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of LLMs and GenAI (preferred).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 15+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
• 6+ years people management experience.
