Associate Director- International Sales

Role & responsibilities
Identify and establish new markets beyond current regions of South East Asia, South Asia and Middle East & Africa.
• Develop and implement detailed market entry strategies and sales plans for both existing and new markets.
• Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to refine and evolve sales approaches.
• Hire, train, and manage regional managers across multiple countries, setting and monitoring sales targets to ensure efficiency and performance.
• Provide leadership and support to backend sales teams, ensuring smooth coordination and communication.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners in each country.
• Conduct international trips and attend partner events to strengthen relationships and promote the platform.
• Address and resolve channel partner escalations in coordination with business unit heads.
• Oversee the complete sales process from channel partner onboarding to student enrolment.
• Drive higher applications and build a strong top funnel across countries.
• Ensure conversions from offer letters to deposits through direct and strategic engagement with channel partners.
• Monitor case-by-case applications within each region and coordinate with business units for timely processing.
• Perform in-depth analysis of country-specific curriculum patterns and eligibility requirements for top universities.
• Track competitor activities and continuously adapt strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
• Develop detailed MIS dashboards to track performance across countries, regional managers, and application processes.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on market performance, sales targets, and key strategic initiatives.
• Leverage data insights to recommend continuous improvements and optimize sales performance.
Preferred candidate profile
- Postgraduate in Business Management (MBA or equivalent)
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in international sales, preferably in the education sector.
- Proven track record of developing new markets and achieving sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
