Sr. Project / Project Engineer

Reporting To: Operations Manager

Reporting Schedule: Weekly

Job Description:

The Sr. Project / Project Engineer is responsible for engineering, execution and delivery of assigned projects. He is also responsible to perform site activities as required for site surveys, installation, commissioning and for maintenance purposes. This includes customer satisfaction in the areas of project execution, maintenance and deliverables.

Essential Functions:

  1. Execute the project at site.

  2. Collaborate with operations manager, supply chain, technicians, solution architect and other support functions to effectively deliver the project on time.

  3. Duties include planning and organizing resource required to execute assigned projects.

  4. Study and understand Functional Design specifications, loop drawings, cabinet layouts, IO allocation tables and other project details.

  5. Install and commission systems.

  6. Manage a team of technicians or sub-contractors to install and commission the system at site.

  7. Supervise the installation activities.

  8. Prepare daily progress report for feedback and mail it to reporting person.

  9. Ensure permit to work is obtained for optimum deployment of manpower.

  10. Ensure work front is available for optimum deployment of manpower.

  11. Carry out all loop checks and verify all equipment ready for power up

  12. Test and commission system.

  13. Prepare report (FSR) upon completion of job with signature of client.

  14. Initiate SAT and documents the same after completion.

  15. Should liaise with customer documents regarding installation.

Warranty and Post warranty Services:

  1. Receiving the complaint and register the same and

  2. Respond to the complaint over telecom, mail, or travel to the site.

  3. Inform project manager regarding warrant replacement if require else recommend spare parts.

  4. Carry out troubleshooting. Other Functions:

  5. Participate in customer design review meetings, kickoff meetings and other status review meetings. Seek approvals for documents during design review meetings from clients/ EPCs.

  6. Participate in pre-engineering site-surveys, initiate material procurement and logistic arrangements as per project milestones.

  7. Check all documents are properly kept in file.
