Project Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Handle both project engineering and procurement activities to support the full project lifecycle — from tendering to execution.
  • Review technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs to identify project requirements and suitable vendors.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, RFQs, bid evaluation, vendor selection, and contract negotiation.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management, construction, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely material delivery and project progress.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and cost control related to procurement and equipment supply.
  • Ensure that procured equipment and materials comply with technical specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and technical clarifications with vendors and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and ensure adherence to corporate governance and safety policies.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related discipline).
  • 3–5 years of experience in project engineering and/or procurement within EPC or water treatment industries.
  • Solid understanding of membrane-based separation systems, pumps, valves, instruments, and water treatment plant components.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with project/procurement management tools.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
