About the Role

We are looking for a talented Product Designer (UI/UX) to join our team at XLSCOUT. You will play a critical role in shaping the design and user experience of our AI-powered IP platform. As a Product Designer, you will work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to create engaging and user-friendly interfaces that improve user experience across multiple touchpoints.

You will own the design process end-to-end — from research, prototyping, and wireframing to high-fidelity design and user testing. Your work will directly influence how our users interact with the platform, making it a critical part of our overall product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile platforms.

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to define user needs and design solutions.

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for new features and improvements.

• Continuously iterate on design solutions based on user feedback and analytics.

• Ensure the design vision is maintained across all aspects of the product.

• Maintain and enhance design systems to ensure consistency across the platform.

• Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and best practices in UI/UX design.

• Advocate for the user and push for design decisions that improve overall usability and satisfaction.

His passion for leveraging AI in the legal and IP landscape led him to the prestigious Chevening Gurukul Fellowship at the University of Oxford, where he gained deep insights into business strategy, innovation, and emerging technologies. As the driving force behind XLSCOUT, he has pioneered the use of AI and NLP in patent analytics, helping businesses worldwide accelerate innovation and streamline IP research. Transitioning into intellectual property law, he pursued an LL.B. from Panjab University, specializing in patent law and technology commercialization. His journey began with an engineering degree from Punjab Engineering College, where he developed a strong technical foundation.

Sandeep Singh Kohli – Director

Sandeep studied Artificial Intelligence in Toronto, Canada, specializing in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Reinforcement Learning, and Large Language Models (LLM). An engineer with deep expertise in intellectual property, technology commercialization, and AI-driven R&D strategies, he has been instrumental in shaping the innovation landscape. Before joining XLSCOUT, Sandeep worked at top intellectual property firms, leading global R&D initiatives and building AI-powered solutions for patent analytics. He specializes in integrating AI and automation into IP and R&D workflows, enabling organizations to accelerate innovation and strategic decision-making at scale.

Manish Verma (Product Manager – R&D):
Manish leads the tech initiatives at XLSCOUT, driving the seamless integration of AI and data-driven solutions into research and development processes. He plays a key role in managing and enhancing existing modules while defining innovative approaches to handle client-specific requirements. With expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), he has spent three years integrating AI-driven automation into IP and technology landscape projects. Before joining XLSCOUT, he gained valuable experience in intellectual property research, including Whitespace Analysis and Technology Scouting. As an engineer with a strong foundation in AI and automation, Manish continues to push the boundaries of innovation in the IP and R&D space.

What You Bring

Must Haves

• 5 years+ of experience in UI/UX design, preferably with a focus on SaaS or AI-powered products.

• Strong proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.

• Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications.

• Familiarity with user-centred design principles and usability testing.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with UI/UX design in complex digital products.

• Ability to collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to implement design solutions.

Preferred Haves

• Experience in designing for AI-driven products or legal-tech platforms.

• Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

• Experience with design systems and ensuring consistency across multiple platforms.

• Experience in conducting user research and translating insights into design solutions.

Nice to Haves

• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
