Role Description

Alkye is seeking a full-time Senior Motion Designer for an on-site position located in the Mohali district. The Senior Motion Designer will be responsible for creating high-quality motion graphics, animations, and video production assets. The role involves storyboarding, designing engaging motion-based visuals, and collaborating closely with the creative team to produce compelling content that aligns with clients' needs and brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the motion design process from concept to final delivery, ensuring creative excellence and brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with art directors, designers, and copywriters to develop visual concepts, storyboards, and styleframes.
  • Animate assets for campaigns, product launches, explainer videos, and brand storytelling.
  • Contribute creative input to pitch decks, style guides, and motion templates.
  • Mentor and provide feedback to junior motion designers.
  • Work closely with editors, producers, and sound designers to achieve cohesive, high-quality results.
  • Stay current with motion trends, emerging technologies, and new tools that push creative boundaries.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in motion design, animation, or visual storytelling.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of composition, timing, typography, and visual rhythm.
  • Experience in 3D design tools (Cinema 4D, Blender, Redshift, etc.) is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop visual systems and branded motion identities.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of animation and motion work across mediums.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Familiarity with UI/UX motion systems and prototyping tools (Figma, Lottie, Rive).
  • Experience with AI-assisted motion and video tools (Runway, Spline, Midjourney).
  • Knowledge of sound design principles and how audio complements motion.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in marketing, design, or product.
