Job Summary:

The R&D Technician will support product development, testing and validation activities within the R&D department. The role involves hands-on work with instruments, prototypes and laboratory setups to assist engineers in evaluating product performance and reliability.

Role & responsibilities

  • Assist R&D engineers in conducting experiments, tests and measurements on electronic components and products.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, test jigs and measuring equipment.
  • Record and analyze test data accurately and prepare basic reports or test summaries.
  • Support prototype assembly, wiring, soldering and sample preparation.
  • Ensure proper calibration and upkeep of all laboratory instruments.
  • Maintain documentation related to test results, equipment logs and quality checks.
  • Assist in developing and validating new product designs or modifications.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures within the R&D lab environment.
  • Coordinate with the production and quality teams for trial runs or product evaluations.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong understanding of basic electronic circuits, testing methods, and instruments (multimeter, LCR meter, oscilloscope, etc.).
  • Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams and technical drawings.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and precision in data recording.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, data logging tools).
  • Team-oriented approach with good communication skills.
